We had a nice, relaxing holiday weekend! After celebrating Thanksgiving with the Cleven family and Sara and Michael, we began decorating for Christmas! We bought our Christmas tree and have been decorating a little each day! Ava is so excited about Christmas and Santa!

My very sweet friend, Mary, sent Ava and Davis a very special Christmas package today! Ava was so excited to open it! The package was even wrapped with personalized wrapping paper with Ava's and Davis' names! We love our special Christmas song book and handmade Christmas ornaments! Mary sends Ava handmade ornaments each year to commemorate special things Ava has done during the year, such as the theme of her birthday parties and becoming a big sister! Ava just loved hers and I know Davis will too! We can't wait to decorate our tree with these adorable ornaments! Thank you, Mary!!!

Ava's First Trip to the Dentist

Sean and I took Ava to her first dental check-up today. Ava was very nervous and wanted Sean to sit in the chair with her, so we didn't think they would be able to clean her teeth today. Once they got in the chair, Ava was so sweet and patient!! They were able to clean her teeth with no tears! We were so proud of her!!

I just returned from a week in London sans Sean and the kids! It was extremely hard to get on the plane last week since I had never left Davis and also being so far away from Ava, Davis and Sean, but I had a wonderful trip! Anna showed me everything that you must see in London and of course, there was lots of shopping and eating! I can't wait to go back with Sean and someday with the kids!

Working Girl!

Ava and I went to visit Sean and have lunch with him at his office yesterday. Ava was so excited to visit Daddy at work and use his computer!

Davis is 8 months old!

Our sweet baby boy is 8 months old, but is not such a little baby anymore! He weighs 21 pounds, 12 ounces! He is still the sweetest and happiest baby boy!

At 8 months old:

- He started crawling last week

- Has his two bottom teeth

- He can go from laying down to sitting up by himself

- Likes to sit up in his crib after we put him down

- Is very interested in Ava's toys

- Is trying to pull-up on everything

- Is a great sleeper

- Says, "Mama" all the time

- Will eat most all food, but is not so interested in his bottles

Birthday Weekend!

I celebrated my birthday this weekend with Ava, Sean and Davis. They made sure I had a wonderful birthday and didn't forget any details! As Ava and Sean planned my birthday celebration, she wanted to make sure that there was a theme to my birthday. She said the her friend Liam had a pirate party and she had a princess party, so she wanted me to have a theme as well. Sean asked her what they should do and she said she wanted me to have an Old MacDonald theme (see photo of cake!) Ava and Davis sent me flowers and Sean and I went out for an amazing dinner on Friday night then celebrated with cake the next night!

Weekend Update

We had a busy weekend filled with birthday parties and fun walks to the park! Davis loves being in the swing at the park and Ava loves the big slide now and probably went down the slide 50 times!

Pigtails!

Ava wanted me to put "piggy tails" in her hair this past weekend! She remembered seeing one one her friends have them at her party a couple of weeks ago and asked if she could have some too! Her hair is finally getting long enough! Too cute! She asks for them all the time now!

We hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween! We took our little monkeys, (Ava and Davis), trick-or-treating around the neighborhood in the wagon. Davis seemed to enjoy his first trick-or-treating experience even though he stayed in the wagon most of the time! Ava loved filling her bag with candy and seeing all of the kids dressed up, except the clown!! She didn't like the clown and each time we approached a house, she would ask if there was a clown there.
