Big Girl!

Ava has gotten very chatty and has started asking lots and lots of questions!! She's talking in complete sentences too! Here are a few of the funny things she has said lately:

- We went to dinner tonight and as I was putting her in the car, she looked up in the sky and asked, " Where's the moon?"

- As I was getting ready for a meeting last night, she came upstairs and told me that she needed some "mame-up". At first I wasn't sure what she was saying, but she pointed to the closet that I keep some make-up in and said she needed mame-up!! It was so cute!!

-Changing diapers is not high on her list of favorite things, so whenever I ask her to change her diaper, she will say, "No, thank you."

-I promise this is the last one, but yesterday when we were on our way to school, I gave her a baggy of cheerios because I didn't think she had eaten enough breakfast at home. She tried some and said, "Mommy, these are yucky!"

Family Vacation in Vermont

We went to Stowe, Vermont for a few days this past weekend and had a wonderful time! This was our last vacation before our new little one arrives in March! Ava and Daddy went swimming everyday in the indoor pool, we went on a horse drawn sleigh ride, Sean enjoyed snowmobiling and I enjoyed the spa!

Trip to Children's Museum

We took Ava to the Boston Children's Museum last weekend. She really enjoyed all of the areas, but mostly the bubble room!

Ava's Way!

Ava is beginning to have some strong opionions about the clothes that she wears! It's been about 30 degrees here, but she has insisted on wearing her summery crocs most days!! She also found a really cute knit hat in her closet that she has been wearing around the house and also out. The only problem is that it was made for her when she was a tiny baby, so its way too small for her now, but she also insists on wearing it! She wore both her crocs and her hat last night when we went out to dinner!

Ava at 27 months!

Ava went for her 27 month check up today. She weighed in at 27 lbs and 10.5 ounces and was 35 inches tall. She's in the 50th percentile for both weight and height. She has gotten to be such a big girl just in the past couple of months!

At 27 months:

- She talks in sentences that you can understand

- Loves playing with her dollhouse, dolls and kitchen

- Loves school and doesn't want to leave when I come to pick her up

- Remembers most everyone's name and will ask where everyone is frequently

- Loves Curious George and is starting to really like princesses

- Her favorite songs to sing are: Happy Birthday and the ABC's

- Has gone on the potty several times, so we'll start potty training in the next couple of weeks

- Talks to her baby brother in Mommy's tummy all the time

- Got a big girl bed, but hasn't started sleeping in it yet. We'll start that very soon though!

- Says, "Ava's coming too" when she wants to go with you

- Her favorite foods are: pickles, cheese, strawberries, hotdogs, bologna, black olives, mushrooms and she also loves icing, but only on special occasions!

- Has a great memory and will ask you something that was said or happened several days ago

- Loves to paint

Snow Day!

Today it snowed quite a bit, so we all stayed home including Sean! Ava and Sean went sledding in the backyard, but the snow was a little soft, so the sled kept tipping over, but I think Ava had fun!

Playtime with Spencer and Ethan!

We had a great weekend spending time with our friends, Emily, Eric and Spencer and Ethan! Ava especially had lots of fun with the boys!

Mommy and Daddy's Night Out!

Sean and I went to a New Year's Post Party this past weekend! We had a great time visiting with our friends, Emily and Eric and it was fun to get dressed up since this will probably be the last time for a while since I'm 8 weeks away from welcoming our little baby boy!!

Ava's First Day of Ballet Class

Ava and her friend, Elizabeth, took their first ballet class together this past Monday. It's a drop-off class, so I wasn't sure how she would do, but she did great! They did a little dance for all of the parents at the end of class and it was adorable!!

Birthday Party Fun!

Sean took Ava to her friend Elizabeth's birthday party this weekend since I was sick. They had a great time together!
