Happy Spring!

Party at the O'Neill Construction Site!

We had a construction themed birthday party to celebrate Davis turning 2! It was a perfect day with beautiful weather in the 70's! We had a monster truck bounce house and a mini excavator and bobcat that the kids took turns getting in! Davis loved looking at the mini excavator and bobcat and spent most of the party in the driveway with all the equipment! What a fun day with family and friends!! Thank you, Grammie, for helping to make Davis' second birthday party so memorable!!!

Davis Gets a Haircut!

Grammie and I took Davis for his first haircut on Friday! Ava was at the dentist with Sean, so we went across the street with Davis for a trim. Coincidentally, the same lady cut Ava's hair for the first time two years ago! Davis didn't enjoy the haircut at all and I had to put a smock on and sit in the chair with him on my lap! Amazingly, he got a pretty cute cut!

Fun Classes!

Ava and Davis take a couple of fun classes each week and we finally got some photos in their classes. Ava takes ballet, swimming and gymnastics and Davis takes gymnastics. I'm enjoying Ava's ballet especially since she says she doesn't like it every week and this will probably be her last year.

Happy 2nd Birthday, Davis!

Dear Davis,

Today you turned two years old. You are just the sweetest boy and are definitely all "boy" weighing 28 pounds, 14 ounces and 36 inches tall! We love starting each day with getting you out of your crib in the mornings after you have patiently waited for us to come get you. You always have a smile on your face in the mornings and even love to hang out in your crib with books after we come in to get you in the morning. Ava also loves to get you in the mornings and jump in the crib with you.

Some of your favorite things are trucks, any kind of construction vehicle, firetrucks and really all cars! You love being outside in any weather and often mow the grass and love being pushed on your tricycle around the neighborhood. You also love to play in the grocery store in the playroom and have lots of fun with the pretend food and the cash register. Balls are another source of entertainment and you actually have a pretty good throwing hand. I would be remiss if I didn't mention your love of books and puzzles too! We read several books every day and recently you have even taken a few books to bed since you couldn't part with them. You go to school two days a week and have found a favorite book there and ask your teachers to read it to you multiple times a day. They asked if we wanted to take it home and were fine with us keeping it and now I know why! You love going to your gymnastics class each week and especially enjoy the balance beam, the bars and of course, the slide!

You are starting to add some new words to your vocabulary, but your favorite words by far are Momma and uh-oh. You are very much a Mommy's boy and whenever I leave a room that you are in, you call for me, which I love!

We love waking up each day to see your smiling face and look forward to your second year!
