Lunch at American Girl!

Ava picked out her own outfit and thought it would be great to wear her red cowgirl boots so she would match her doll, Bella!

Ava and her two friends, Samantha and Libby, took their dolls for a lunch date at American Girl Bistro today. It was so cute! Their babies were seated next to them in high chairs! The girls had a great time!

Today was Ava's last day of school. She was excited, but also sad to leave her teachers. She absolutely loved them and I think they felt the same way about her too!!

We had a wonderful week with Mimi and Aunt Haley and are sad to see them go!

15 month update

Davis went for his 15 month check-up yesterday. He is a very healthy boy (minus the ear infections) weighing 25 pounds, 2 ounces and 33 1/2 inches tall. He is in the 50th percentile for weight and at the top of the charts for height! At 15 months, Davis loves to play with balls and throw them, play with his sister, loves to go to the park and swing, read books and turn the pages, points to his head, loves building with his legos and cups, claps and raises his hands above his head when he thinks he's done something good, loves to make animal sounds when we're reading his favorite book, The Big Red Barn.

School Puppet Show

Ava's school celebrated its 20th anniversary with a fun picnic and puppet show today.

Mimi and Aunt Haley's Visit!

Mimi and Aunt Haley are visiting us this week! We've already had such a great time playing outside and going strawberry picking!

Ava & Davis Update

Here's a little of what Ava and Davis are up to at 3 years, 8 months and 15 months!

Ava

- loves picking out her own clothes!

- dresses herself in the morning morning and even puts a matching bow in her hair even before coming to our room in the morning!

- helps herself to food in the refrigerator, she just pulls up a chair and gets what she needs when we're not looking!!

- has a great memory and remembers things from long ago

- enjoyed her first manicure and pedicure a few weeks ago

- loves helping me bake

- still loves playing with her dolls and talking to each of them

- loves books and has memorized lots of them

- loves writing her name, especially the "A"

- loves going to Starbucks to get Raspberry Lemonade

Davis

- loves balls and throwing them too!

- loves for us to read books and has even gotten quite picky! He pushes away books he doesn't like!

- is still a great sleeper and is trying to transition from 2 to 1 nap

- loves water ( the bath and water table outside! )

- favorite foods include: strawberries, blueberries, couscous, edamame, chicken nuggets or really any meat, pirates booty, broccoli, apple sauce, yogurt, cheerios, goldfish, sausage

- loves the dishwasher and will take out all of the dishes if its not locked!

Fun in the sun and water!

Ava and Davis have been spending lots of time outside lately. The both love, love, love the water table! Each time Davis has been out there in his clothes, he is completely soaked from head to toe in a matter of minutes!!

Fireman Birthday Party

Ava's good friends, Spencer and Ethan, celebrated their third birthday with a very fun party yesterday that included fireman and a real firetruck! It was lots of fun! Ava was very interested in the firetruck and got into it, but decided she'd rather not take a ride!

First Manicure & Pedicure!

I took Ava along with me to get a manicure and pedicure this weekend for the first time. She loved every minute of it and wanted both her nails and toes done! She loved putting her feet in the water. I hope she doesn't get too used to this!!
